Australian theologian/bishop at Vatican Synod. The key speaker: Bishop Shane Mackinlay member of both sessions of the Roman Synod on Synodality.

  • Former Master of Catholic Theological College.
  • Degrees in Physics and Theology, doctorate from Leuven.
  • Bishop Shane played a crucial role in Australia’s Plenary Council.
  • An excellent communicator!
  • Deep understanding of Vatican II’s crucial document on the Church [Lumen Gentium]
    promulgated 60 years ago.
  • Oversaw the Synod’s final document.
  • His expertise and his roles in the recently concluded Vatican Synod on Synodality & in the Plenary Council give him an unrivalled perspective on the journey of our Church over the past 60 years.

  • Archdiocesan Executive Officer of Council for Ecumenism & Inter religious Relations.
