As the Synod 2024 approaches in September and October the Brisbane West Deanery has been asked to nominate two lay people and a Priest from the Deanery to attend.
After some consultation with the Clergy the following lay and priest will be attending the Synod –
Mrs Katherine Kennedy, from Corinda-Graceville Parish and Mrs Emily Stower, from Darra-Jindalee Parish.
Priest Rep. from Deanery: Fr Gregory Jacobs SJ, from the ’Community of Communities’ (Toowong, Indooroopilly & St Lucia) and Clergy who’ll be attending the synod due to their roles in Archdiocese:
Very Rev Mark Franklin, Dean and Council of Priests Chair, Kenmore-Moggill Parish and Fr Boni Buahendri SVD, Council of Priests member and Inala Catholic Parish.
The outcome of this process is that each Parish community in the Deanery will have either a lay person or priest attending the Synod.
