History Luncheon and Bus Trip.  Coming Full Circle!

Join us for a bus trip and luncheon in June!

Toowong Parish has come full circle with the return of the Jesuits! When they first arrived in 1916, the parish included Indooroopilly and St Lucia.  Over time, each suburb formed their own parish.  In 2024, the three parishes have come together again to form a “Community of Communities”.

To celebrate this historical moment, Toowong Parish is inviting you to join us on a bus trip to have lunch at Albert River Wines located at Tamborine.  The venue is the current home of Auchenflower House which once served as the Monastery for the Carmelite Order in Auchenflower.

The event will be scheduled between 16—22 June depending on the preferences of the majority of respondents.

The cost will be approximately $50 per person which includes bus travel and a two-course lunch.

For more information, call Mary Anne Paddock 0407 003 097 or Louise Wellington 0423 162 079 or contact Parish Office 3870 7818 | E: toowong@bne.catholic.net.au

So, whether you are interested in learning more history or simply want to enjoy the company of fellow parishioners, please indicate your interest by completing the ‘Expression of Interst’ form here (and available from rotary stands) and returning it to St Ignatius Parish Office by Sunday 12 May or place completed form into collection basket at Mass or speak to Mary Anne or Louise after Mass to register your preference/interest in attending. Thank you.
