Sacraments of Confirmation (2026)
and First Penance & First Eucharist (2027).
Our ‘Community of Communities’ is preparing for our next two-year Sacramental Preparation Programme, commencing in Term 3. Sacraments will be celebrated in the following order –
Confirmation (Term 3 2026) and then next year (2027) both Sacraments of First Penance (Reconciliation) + First Holy Communion (in Terms 1 & 2).
Enrolments are now open for children who wish to complete their initiation into the Catholic Faith Community.
Children in Year 3 or above, and who have been Baptised, are invited enrol for all three Sacraments.
However, if your child only requires Sacrament of Confirmation please also enrol through the process below.
All enrolments are to be completed online via Flocknote:

Enrolments close: Friday 31 July (no late enrolments will be accepted).
We are pleased to provide information and date claimers for your perusal, for the short Preparation Programme commencing in Term 3 for Sacrament of Confirmation (please add these dates to your family diary now):-
* Parent Information meeting: Thursday 6 August at 5.30pm at St Ignatius Church, Kensington Tce, Toowong;
– Please register your attendance via https://stignatiustoowong.flocknote.com/signup/259261
* ‘Rite of Enrolment’ ceremony during Masses on weekend 15/16 August (parents & child to attend either):
i) 6.00 pm Saturday Vigil Mass at St Thomas Aquinas Church, Central Avenue, St Lucia,
ii) 8.30 am Sunday Mass at Holy Family Church, Ward Street, Indooroopilly or
iii) 5.00 pm Sunday Mass at St Ignatius Church, Kensington Terrace, Toowong.
– Please nominate the Mass you will attend via https://stignatiustoowong.flocknote.com/signup/259260
* 2 Preparation Classes (for children & parents) will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Parish Hall (below church),
Central Avenue, St Lucia, followed by Vigil Mass at St Thomas Aquinas Church, on Saturdays 22 & 29 August, (both) commencing at 4.00pm (onsite parking available in church carpark accessed from Eighth Avenue).
* Sacrament of Confirmation ceremony to be held at St Ignatius Church, Toowong on Thursday 3 September at 5:30pm.
